Import Specific Products

When to use targeted product import​

Use this action when you only need one product (or a small set) refreshed:

  • A specific product fell out of sync and needs to be repaired.
  • You just published a new product in Shopify and want it in Odoo immediately, before the next scheduled sync.
  • You're verifying the connector setup against a known reference product.

Overview​

Targeted product import lets you pull a single Shopify product (or a small comma-separated list) into Odoo without re-running a full catalog import. It's the right tool when:

  • A specific product fell out of sync and you need to repair it.
  • You just published a new product in Shopify and want it in Odoo immediately.
  • You're testing the connector and want to verify the round-trip on one item.

Import one or more specific products by their Shopify Product ID.

Steps​

  1. Navigate to Shopify → Products → Import Specific Products
  2. Select your Shopify Instance
  3. Enter one or more Shopify Product IDs (comma-separated)
  4. Click Import

Finding Shopify Product IDs​

In Shopify Admin:

  1. Go to Products
  2. Click a product
  3. The ID is in the URL: shopify.com/admin/products/7890123456
