Employee Management

Manage your entire workforce from a single dashboard: create employee profiles, organize departments, and track onboarding.

Accessing Employee Records

Navigate to HRMS Dashboard > Employees > All Employees

Creating a New Employee

  1. Click Create
  2. Fill in the required fields:

Job PositionRole title (e.g. Software Engineer, HR Manager)
DepartmentAssign to a department
ManagerDirect reporting manager
Work EmailCompany email address
Work PhoneOffice or extension number
  1. Click Save

Employee Profile Tabs

Each employee record contains the following tabs:

Work Information

  • Work address and location
  • Working schedule (e.g. Standard 40 Hours)
  • Timezone for attendance tracking

Private Information

  • Personal address and contact details
  • Emergency contact
  • Bank account for payroll
  • Visa and work permit details

HR Settings

  • Registration number (employee ID)
  • Linked user: connect to an Odoo user account
  • Pin code: for attendance kiosk

Department Management

  1. Go to HRMS Dashboard > Configuration > Departments
  2. Click Create to add a new department
  3. Set the department name, parent department, and department manager
tip

Departments are used across payroll, leave, and reporting. Setting them up correctly from the start saves time.

Job Positions

  1. Go to HRMS Dashboard > Configuration > Job Positions
  2. Define roles such as Developer, Designer, Sales Executive, etc.
  3. Set expected number of employees per position for workforce planning

Org Chart

The HRMS Dashboard generates an organizational chart automatically based on the manager hierarchy. Access it via HRMS Dashboard > Employees > Org Chart.
